CLE Conducts Audit at Chuka University for LL.B Programme License Renewal
The Council of Legal Education conducted an audit at Chuka University as part of the renewal process for the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme training licence.
The audit was undertaken in line with the Council’s mandate under Section 8 of the Legal Education Act, Cap. 16B, which empowers the Council to license, regulate, and supervise legal education and training in Kenya. The exercise sought to assess the University’s compliance with the prescribed standards and requirements for the continued delivery of the LL.B programme.
The audit was carried out by a team from the Directorate of Standards, Licensing, Supervision, and Compliance, led by Ms. Annah Konuche, Director of Standards, Licensing, Supervision, and Compliance.
The Council reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that legal education providers adhere to approved standards in curriculum delivery, staffing, facilities, governance, and quality assurance. Such audits form a critical part of CLE’s ongoing efforts to uphold excellence, consistency, and integrity in legal education and training across the country.
