The Council of Legal Education Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Jack Mwimali, participated in the KEBS CB 2026 Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) Breakfast Meeting convened by the Kenya Bureau of Standards Certification Body (KEBS CB).
The high-level forum was held on 17 February 2026 at the Weston Hotel Nairobi under the theme “Driving Business Excellence Through Management Systems: The CEO Imperative.” The meeting brought together Chief Executive Officers from public and private sector institutions to engage in candid, strategic discussions on leadership responsibility in championing effective management systems.
The forum underscored the critical role of management systems in enhancing organizational performance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and sustained business excellence. Discussions emphasized that top management leadership and commitment are central to the successful implementation and realization of management system objectives across institutions.
Participants were taken through a structured programme that included presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions on the benefits and future of management system certification. The meeting was graced by Hon. Lee Kinyanjui, Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry, as the Chief Guest, alongside senior leaders drawn from academia, government, and standards institutions.
Through its participation, the Council of Legal Education reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening institutional systems that promote quality assurance, accountability, and continuous improvement in the regulation of legal education and training in Kenya. Engagements of this nature align with CLE’s broader mandate to enhance governance, operational effectiveness, and service delivery through robust management and regulatory frameworks.
